MT-103 is the same as MT-102 but incorporated a ground connection on second eyelet to allow the user to grounds the transformer at this point for best noise reduction at their location
Note this is only MT103 adapter included, (antenna show as example only)
This transformer is used for matching the impedance of a long wire HF antenna (High Impedance 500 ohms) (10:1) to a 50 ohm input impedance of download coaxial cable (RG-58-59 or 8). This cable entering the house, remove all electrical noise made from dimmer, new light and all man made noise.
All Hardware is in stainless steel for heavy duty use; all internal connection is soldered for static noise free. The transformer is made of Teflon wire winded over iron toroid core (1.250” OD core) and using a SO-239 connector.
Such impedance matching usually results in significant signal strength, increase up to 16dB in some cases, compared to the long wire antenna connected directly to the antenna input of the receiver.
MT-102 is use on wire connection to antenna.
