High Impedance Transformer for Ham, Short-Wave, experimenter. Model MT-106  ( SO-239, BNC ) including a ground for beverage or static discharge

Useful for long wire, end fed, beverage antenna.

This transformer is used for matching the impedance of a long wire HF antenna (High Impedance 500 ohms) (10:1) to a 50 ohm input impedance of download coaxial cable (RG-58/ 8 / 213). This cable entering the house, remove all electrical noise made from dimmer, new light and all man made noise. Can be useful when used with long wire 30-100 foot. Such impedance matching usually results in significant signal strength, increase up to 16dB in some cases, compared to the long wire antenna connected directly to the antenna input of the receiver.

Can be used for receive and transmit up to 10 watts SSB

Eyelet is in stainless steel for heavy duty use; all internal connection is soldered for static noise free.

The transformer is made of AWG #22 magnet wire winded over iron toroid core (.570” OD core) and using a silver plated SO-239 connector.
